I’ve just received news that Mr. Martin L. Gore will be headlining a charity DJ gig on Saturday, May 7th! The gig will benefit Rockshop Academy. The academy provides lessons, classes, and recording and practice space for aspiring musicians in Santa Barbara, School of Rock style. The location is to be announced, but an official announcement should hit within a few days according to the event organizers. I’ll post the details as I receive them.

Smart planning! Devotees will already be swarming the area in support of Dave Gahan and MAP the night before, so why not follow up with another great opportunity to give back AND see amazing musicians? I may be playing a (small) role in this event.. stay tuned! Thankfully I just won an extra vacation day in the NCAA office pool. Yeah! Hope to see you all there!

I have been waiting since I was 13 to meet Martin. I am now 19 and was wondering if this event will be 21+ as all his other DJ gigs have been. Please let me now, thank you.

      Hi Nadia,

I just tried to call the venue to see if there was an age limit on the show, but I got a recording. I’ll check with the organizers and get back to you! 🙂
