Day 16 – Your favorite song from the Music for the Masses era

Music for the Masses is an amazing album from start to finish. Picking a single song is to leave out other masterpieces, but I have to go with “Never Let Me Down.” It’s and urgent and epic track, with a driving, kinetic feel to it. There’s dynamic motion in the music. The lyrics lend themselves to open-ended interpretation, leaving the listener to decide what it really means. It’s a song that I can associate with amazing concert memories as well as my best friends — sometimes at the same time.
